Lord, Teach Us to Pray: A Study of the Lord's Prayer
What is prayer? How does it work? What is happening when we pray? Why can’t I seem to do it more often or more consistently? Can I do it better? All of these questions and more get wrapped up into one request that a disciple had for Jesus. He said, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). Jesus responds by teaching all of his disciples what has come to be known as the Lord’s Prayer.
In this study, we will look closely at the Lord’s Prayer and what it teaches us about the nature and power of prayer in the life of a Christian. This prayer is a gift to believers for shaping our own prayers and reshaping how we understand and relate to the world around us. Remember that the request wasn’t what we should pray, but “teach us to pray”. While we can and do pray this prayer from memory, Jesus taught it as a pattern for his disciples to follow. If our desire is to learn more about prayer, we can do no better than to sit under the teaching of Jesus.

Are you aware of every voice of influence in your child’s life?
Every day, through all forms of digital and social media, our children are exposed to a thousand voices of falsehood. These echo loudly and repeatedly, attempting to drown out gospel wisdom.
How can parents, grandparents, youth ministry leaders, and anyone with influence in the life of a young person reclaim our biblical influence? How can we protect, filter, and train our children to desire the path of wisdom and live in the light? Join us for this three-week study, where we will address these current challenges!
