VETERANS’ CARE GROUP
Veterans often find it difficult to talk about and work through feelings related to their time of service and they are particularly reluctant to talk about it to people who have never been in active duty. Our Redeemer’s Veterans’ Care Group welcomes veterans from all branches of service and all belief systems. Whether you are an active military member or your military service is long in the past, this peer group is intended to connect veterans who share that military bond.
If you have questions about VA benefits and/or service related claims, group members can assist you in finding the resources for answers. Physical and mental wellness, career options and access to VA counseling are among areas where referrals are available. This group also honors veterans for their contributions; for instance, on Veteran’s Day, church staff and volunteers served a steak dinner to all veterans that chose to attend.
The Veterans’ Care Group meets the second Monday at 7 p.m. at the church. There is no membership requirement. Attend as you wish whenever you wish. Viet Nam veterans Loren Headrick and Jeff Buda are group coordinators. To learn more, call the church office at 838-0750 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
